Terms of Service
Welcome to WDTM. These Terms explain how you may use our Chrome Extension and website for text, image, and webpage explanations.
1. Operator, Contact, and Dates
Operator: WDTM is operated by Thaung Than Han ("WDTM," "we," "us," or "our").
Contact: For support, legal notices, security reports, or abuse reports, contact wdtm.ai@gmail.com.
Effective Date: August 12, 2026.
Last Updated: August 12, 2026.
2. What WDTM Provides
WDTM provides AI-assisted explanations through a Chrome Extension and related website. The service can explain selected text, images, charts, screenshots, diagrams, and readable webpage content. WDTM may also generate Page Briefs, simplify confusing writing, summarize content, break content into steps, and answer follow-up questions about a page when that feature is available.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You may need an account to use WDTM, manage usage limits, or access Free and Pro plan features. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your login secure, and use WDTM only if you are legally allowed to enter these Terms. If you use WDTM on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
4. User Content and Permission to Process
You keep ownership: You retain ownership of the text, images, webpage content, prompts, and other content you submit or choose to process with WDTM.
Limited permission: You give WDTM a limited permission to process that content only as needed to provide the requested explanation, operate the service, enforce usage limits, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
Results: AI-generated explanations are provided to you for your use. WDTM does not store selected text, images, webpage content, or generated explanation content in WDTM's database as part of normal service operation.
5. Data Processing, Retention, and Training
WDTM is designed for private, on-demand explanations. Selected text, images, and webpage content are processed transiently to generate your explanation and are not stored in WDTM's database. WDTM stores account information and usage counters required to operate Free and Pro plans, such as authentication, plan status, request counts, token usage, and image explanation usage.
WDTM does not use your selected text, images, webpage content, or generated explanation content to train AI models. Service logs and backups may be created by WDTM or its infrastructure providers for security, reliability, debugging, abuse prevention, billing, or legal compliance, and are retained only as reasonably needed for those purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
WDTM relies on trusted third-party services to operate. Supabase provides authentication and database infrastructure. Groq processes selected text, images, and webpage content to generate explanations. Stripe processes payments, subscriptions, invoices, and billing portal access. Your use of WDTM may also be subject to those providers' applicable terms and privacy practices.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse WDTM. This includes: bypassing usage limits; reverse engineering or scraping the service; submitting malware, exploit code, or content intended to attack systems; using WDTM to violate laws or third-party rights; harassing, abusing, or impersonating others; interfering with service availability; attempting unauthorized access; reselling WDTM without permission; or using automated systems in a way that harms WDTM or other users.
8. Subscriptions, Renewals, and Cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on the billing date shown during checkout or in the Stripe billing portal. Unless you cancel before renewal, your subscription will automatically renew for the next billing period. Prices, plan limits, and included features may vary by plan and may change prospectively with reasonable notice when required.
You can cancel through the billing portal or account dashboard. If you cancel, your Pro access remains available until the end of the current billing period, unless these Terms or applicable law require a different result.
9. Refunds and Billing Errors
Except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. We may provide refunds when required by applicable law or when we confirm a billing error, duplicate charge, or other payment issue that should reasonably be corrected. For billing problems, contact wdtm.ai@gmail.com.
10. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
WDTM may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect WDTM, other users, third-party providers, or the public; to investigate suspected abuse; to comply with law; to address payment failures; or when a user materially violates these Terms. Where practical, we will use a proportionate response and may provide notice or an opportunity to fix the issue.
11. AI Output and Disclaimers
WDTM explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain mistakes, omissions, outdated information, hallucinations, or misinterpretations. WDTM is provided for general understanding and productivity, not as professional advice. You should not rely on WDTM for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions without checking appropriate qualified sources.
12. Availability and Warranty Disclaimer
WDTM is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times. Service availability may depend on browser behavior, network conditions, third-party providers, AI model availability, maintenance, rate limits, and other factors outside our control.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WDTM and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use WDTM. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to WDTM in the three months before the claim or USD $50, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Intellectual Property
WDTM's software, extension code, website, branding, designs, logos, and service materials are owned by WDTM or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of WDTM. You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, lease, or create competing services from WDTM except as allowed by law or with written permission.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the Last Updated date, posting notice on the website, or providing notice through the service. Changes apply prospectively from the effective date shown unless a different date is stated. If you continue using WDTM after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
Unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where WDTM's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes related to WDTM, meaning either party may also have rights in another court where applicable law allows.
17. Contact for Legal, Security, or Abuse Reports
For legal notices, copyright concerns, security issues, abuse reports, billing problems, or questions about these Terms, email wdtm.ai@gmail.com. Please include enough detail for us to understand and investigate the request.
