Website Content: When you explicitly highlight text and select "Explain with WDTM," that specific snippet of text is sent to our secure API to generate an explanation.
Technical Data: We may collect basic, non-identifying technical information (such as browser version and extension version) to ensure the extension functions correctly and to help us debug issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
• To provide the core service: generating AI explanations for the text you select.
• To manage your subscription status ($5 Pro plan).
• To improve our AI models and user experience.
• To communicate with you regarding your account or support requests.
3. Data Protection & Storage
No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.
Minimal Retention: Text snippets sent for explanation are processed and are not permanently stored or linked to your identity for longer than necessary to provide the service.
Security: We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for all data transmissions between the extension and our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
WDTM utilizes trusted third-party providers to function:
Supabase: For secure user authentication and database management.
AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq): To process the text snippets and generate explanations.
Stripe: To securely process payments for the Pro plan.
5. Your Choices
You can stop all collection of information by the extension by uninstalling it at any time. You can also manage your account details via the WDTM web dashboard.
